Tobias Frühauf (*1994) and Philipp Wolpert (*1997) have comprised the theater label Tacheles & Tarantismus since 2018. They are patrons of pop- and everyday culture. Alongside classic theater contexts, their productions can be seen in night clubs, museums, old freight yards, casinos, and government offices. In 2020, Tacheles & Tarantismus received an award from the German federal government’s »Cultural and Creative Industries Initiative« for their »Techno Theater« and »Trap Opera« concepts. The label has produced plays and performances at state theaters in Dortmund, Stuttgart, and Munich, among others. In 2022/2023, Frühauf and Wolpert initiated the year-long citywide performance »Hauptstadt der Folgenlosigkeit« in Heilbronn - during which, among other things, the project architects »act of doing nothing«. Frühauf’s literary grotesques can be deliberated in the Taz-blog »gnu«.
Frühauf and Wolpert have been the artistic directors at ↗ Theaterschiff Heilbronn since September 2023.
